The Asclepeion is the area where the Father of Medicine, Hippocrates, set up the first hospital. The Asclepeion was also a healing temple in Greek mythology where people worshiped the Greek God of Medicine, Asclepius. Doctors trained by Hippocrates also took their oath, promising Hippocrates to use their knowledge for good, not for evil and wrongdoings.
